Men are key partners in the process of transforming harmful sociocultural norms and practices that perpetuate Gender Based Violence (GBV) in the society. In Mulanje district, men have also bemoaned that they are continuously left out in the process of devising mechanisms for ending the vice.
The men expressed these sentiments this during an engagement meeting which YONECO organized in the district.
In a bid to contribute towards ending GBV, YONECO engages both men and boys as change agents to reach their fellows in schools, workplaces and communities. As agents of change, men and boys are involved in awareness raising, providing support to survivors of GBV, as well as promoting the rights of girls and women.
